Queer Diary Reading
Fri 04 Jul
|Social Refuge
Would you read your Teenage Diary to a live audience? A brave group of LGBTQIA+ adults are doing just that at Queer Diary - the night where queers share our teen angst (and joy, dreams, follies, and fabulousness).

Time & Location
04 Jul 2025, 19:00 – 22:30
Social Refuge, 27 Great Ancoats St, Ancoats, Manchester M4 5AJ, UK
About the event
Join a friendly queer crowd for a night of old diary entries, long-lost love-letters, fabulous fanfiction, terrible tumblr posts, and possibly the odd bit of cringey poetry.
We can't promise to reunite you with your first crush, but we do aim to reignite that rush of adrenaline you got when they first noticed you!
How it works:
Queer Diary is hosted by Beth Watson, who will warm up the crowd by sharing some teenage diary entries and chatting to the audience.
Anyone wanting to read a diary (or teenage poetry, fanfic, etc…) can sign up, via this link.
Last minute slots are not guaranteed - sign up in advance to ensure there’s space for you to share something from your youth on the mic.
