About the event

This month, we're reading Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg — a landmark novel that has become a cornerstone of queer and trans literature.

First published in 1993, Stone Butch Blues is a semi-autobiographical story following Jess Goldberg, a working-class butch navigating life, love, identity, and survival in 20th-century America. It's a raw, poetic, and revolutionary account of gender nonconformity, community, and resistance — one that continues to move and challenge readers more than two decades on.

Join us at Queer Lit for an open, thoughtful, and affirming discussion about this powerful book. Whether you’ve read it before or are picking it up for the first time, all are welcome.

Expect:

– Reflective conversation

– A supportive and inclusive space
