About the event
Ramping up Rights – In Conversation with Rachel Charlton-Dailey.
Join us for an empowering evening with award-winning journalist, activist, and disability rights advocate Rachel Charlton-Dailey as we explore what it truly means to fight for accessibility, representation, and justice.
Hosted at Queer Lit, this in-person conversation will dive into the intersections of queerness, disability, and activism — and why amplifying disabled voices has never been more urgent.
Expect honest dialogue, lived experience, and powerful insight into the barriers disabled people face every day — and how we can all do better.
Whether you're a long-time activist, an ally, or just starting to explore these conversations, this is a space to listen, learn, and engage.
Cherylee Houston has played Izzy Armstrong in Coronation Street since 2010. She has had six seasons of Tinsel Girl, a series of memoir-based plays, broadcast on Radio 4.
